Check valves with true unions limit the flow of water to one direction. This prevents water from flowing backwards or backing up your pump or filter. Check valves should be used in areas under pressure where water is flowing upward. All of our check valves come with true unions on them. We feel it is very important to have true unions on your check valve just incase something gets stuck in it. These unions will allow you to remove the check valve without cutting into your plumbing.
